Take a look at where you could be staying
Rose Cottage is comfortably furnished with a fresh, light style, which compliments the historic nature of the house itself.
On arrival, you enter a spacious hall, leading to a large, traditional country kitchen, boasting an Aga (named “Aggie”, which radiates warmth for family dinners around a rustic oak table) and an electric cooker. The Aga is turned off from June to Sept.
A large fridge-freezer, microwave and carefully chosen modern appliances and utensils make for a well-equipped kitchen for entertaining or relaxing.
The entrance hall also leads to a utility or boot room, with its own external door, washing machine, separate tumble dryer as well as drying racks, iron and board.
The sitting room is a charming space of simple luxury. The room is warm and bright, overlooking the front terrace and across the valley.
The sitting room leads through to the large dining room, which provides ample space for meals with family and friends. The high ceiling and French windows create an airy feel, with access onto the sheltered, private yard, ideal for ‘a fresco’ dining in the warmer months.
Steps from the dining room lead downstairs to the media room with a large (48″) television (with Freesat), a large comfortable corner sofa and a selection of games.
Upstairs three double bedrooms and a children’s room with 4 ‘kiddie’ bunkbeds, provide guests with flexible accommodation for large or multiple families.
Each room is freshly decorated and they are, in the tradition of 16th century cottages, cosy.
At each end of the upstairs hall of the cottage, guests will find a WC with either shower enclosure or bath with shower (please note, there is not a WC downstairs). The light, bright bathroom overlooks the garden and a large corner bath provide a luxurious, spacious opportunity to relax.
Rose Cottage is blessed with beautiful outdoor spaces, for dining, relaxing or playing.
The Cottage is set above the quiet lane to Lee, with wonderful views across the valley, enjoying sunshine all day thanks to the south-facing aspect.
The terrace in front of the house, provides one of many options for alfresco dining, and the small lawn at the front leads to steps which gradually take you up different levels until you reach the larger rear lawn and the spectacular swimming pool (available Easter to the end of September) overlooking the valley and catching the late afternoon sun.
The comfortable sun-loungers and their padded cushions make an ideal spot for sundowners or to spend summer afternoons, enjoying the weather and the views in a private, peaceful spot.
Rose Cottage is situated in an idyllic corner of England, just off the dramatic Southwest Coastal Path and moments from the sea.
